Common Pricing Questions
Are guests free in Notion?
Guests are free on all paid plans (Plus and above) with no additional charge. The Free plan limits you to 10 guests. Guests can view and comment on pages but cannot create new content in your workspace.
Can I add Notion AI to the Free plan?
Yes. Notion AI ($10/user/month) can be added to any plan including Free. For a single user on the Free plan, this means paying $10/month just for AI features.
What happens if I go over the Free plan guest limit?
Notion will prompt you to upgrade to Plus or Business. You cannot add guests #11+ without upgrading. There is no grace period.
Does Notion have a nonprofit or education discount?
Yes. Notion offers free Plus plans for verified nonprofits and educational institutions. Students can also get free Personal Pro (Plus equivalent) through the Notion for Education programme.
Can I mix plans within a workspace?
No. Everyone in a Notion workspace is on the same plan. If you need Business for SAML, all users in that workspace must be on Business.
